Study Habits

Ever heard the expressions "old habits die hard"? While indeed it is important it get rid of old habits, it can be just as urgent to be accustomed to new ones. Without proper positive  habits,a person will not make it very far in both the school system, and real world. A few tips and ideas describes what can help someone develop healthy habits to reach their  full potential and expand their knowledge! A little bit, can go a long way.

A priority anyone should have is the well being and healthiness of themselves, and others of course. That comes down to your nutrition and rest. A lack of nutrition and/or rest will noticeably impact your body during the day. One may feel sleepy, or energy diminished, making it harder to focus on the task at hand. According to www.sleepfoundation.org/nutrition,
" Sleep is known to affect concentration, decision-making, and mood, all of which can play into the types of foods we incorporate into our daily diet."
However avoid any heavy meal before you study, as this can actually make you more sleepy. Drink water, hydrate!😀

In correlation to physical health, exercise can be a significant source of increased studying. That doesn't mean go run miles around the block. Instead, walking, stretching, or even being outside will boost your mood & body for learning. You'll noticeably feel the impact 💪

Another tip that I personally feel is helpful would be; Prioritizing assignments. Write due dates when you hear about them instead of just "remembering it" Prioritize which task needs to be done more urgently, and what can you do to complete them? This will tie in to real-world settings as prioritizing is an important skill to have. Use an agenda or some sort to write reminders, due date, page numbers, pointers etc.

These are a few tips and ideas that I try to incorporate in my study habits. Though it is easier said than done, one must know what needs be completed. No doubt, this will benefit anyone in the long run.

  2. What a great post, Anthony! It's not that hard to create these priorties, but once you have them you have some contours to work with rather than a generalized feeling of worry about "stuff I gotta do." Thanks for sharing!
