The Armenian Genocide



Genocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation, An example of genocide would be the mass killings of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire in between the years of 1915-1917. The massacre was by the leaders of the turkish government. And their ultimate plan was to expel and massacre the Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire. Here is about the Armenian genocide and why it was a horrific event.

    What was the Ottoman Empire? The Ottoman Empire was a place in present day Turkey. The Ottoman Empire grew to be one of the most powerful states during the 15th and 16th centuries. It ruled between 1219-1922. Ranged from mountains to desert, and commonly warm with no snow. Due to its strong military, the Ottoman Empire conquered many nearby places expanding its diverse features. It was created by Turkish tribes in Anatolia.

What about the Armenians? Who were they? The Armenian people were an ethnic group. They are an ethnos, which belongs to the large cacausian racial group of peoples. Currently, Armenians in the world approximates to 10 million people and live around the world such as Russia, France, Iran, the United States, etc. Armenians are commonly from the country of Armenia. The culture of Armenia composes many elements that are based on the geography, literature, architecture, dance, and music of the people. By the end of WWI, half of the Armenians were wiped out. The turkish government now takes this very seriously. Here are some facts about the genocide about it and how it is thought of today. Today, the Turkish government will not acknowledge the events that happened long ago. It is illegal in Turkey to talk about what happened to the Armenians. The person that talks about it can be sentenced up to two years in prison.

In conclusion. The Armenians were treated very harshly by the turkish government during their genocide era. Many Armenians were ultimately wiped out. The Armenians and the Turkish government are still trying to move past that dark time in history.

The Drastic situation in India; a message for Urbanization

 Urbanization; it refers to making an area more Urban, the process of population shifting from rural to be more centered in an Urban area. Though as an area's region and population becomes more organized, there are significant drawbacks to living in Urban areas that people may not be aware of. Cartel Land (Guided Reflection)

    Cartel Land dives into the drug industry and manufacturing from perspectives of the land of Mexico & United States, along with the violence the cartels of Mexico uses to control its lands that spills over the border.
